After decades of working in the industry, we asked ourselves could we take the best of what we’ve seen in participatory fitness events - the community celebration and connection, the dedication to healthy living – and build an event series that would attract any type of person? Could we inspire that broad participation with music and dance? What if we did that not just in Boston, Minneapolis, Colorado Springs, and Portland, but also in Rio de Janeiro, Havana, Johannesburg, and Tokyo? Could we rethink how we use city streets, how we celebrate, and how we exercise… all at the same time? From there, the Dance Mile and Social Fitness Day were born.
Partner with us as we celebrate our communities, and work towards a healthier America. Without fail, the cities and communities in which we produce social fitness events respond with tremendous enthusiasm and support. People are looking for authentic opportunities to connect, celebrate, and get fit. In 2018 and 2019 we are partnering with mission aligned brands to bring the Dance Mile and Social Fitness Day to more markets. For our corporate partners it is an excellent opportunity to align their brands with family-friendly fitness and wellness. Given the diverse programming, we identify creative, fun fitness/wellness activations that fit the brand of our corporate partners.
The Demographic. Brand Loyalty – What is the 1st thing you’ll notice at our events? Our participants are fanatically loyal! That loyalty transfers to our partner brands that share our vision and mission. 80% of our participants are women, ages 25-50. Within this, there are a number of distinct groups of attendees:
- Fitness Enthusiasts (Zumba, Yoga, & other forms of social activities)
- Party-goers (costume-wearing, fun seeking)
- Groups of friends/ co-workers that do activities together
